HY-Optima® 5000 General Purpose In-line Hydrogen Process Analyser

HY-Optima® 5000 General Purpose In-line Hydrogen Process Analyser

H2scan's hydrogen monitors, hydrogen process analysers and hydrogen leak detectors are used in the power industry (transformers, battery room safety), in industrial applications (hydrogen safety and process applications) and in emerging hydrogen economy applications (fuel cells and electrolysers, hydrogen in gas, hydrogen production, transmission and storage).

H2scan's HY-OPTIMA 5030 series analysers use H2scan's Gen 5 technology to provide the most accurate, tolerant and affordable hydrogen process gas measurement solution for industrial markets. The universal analyser uses a solid-state, non-consumable sensor for direct hydrogen measurement in process gas streams, with no cross-sensitivity to other gases. Automatic calibration ensures that the measurement stays within specification, even under dynamic conditions. Communication with the device is via serial communication with Modbus RTU over RS485.

HY-OPTIMA models 5031, 5033 and 5034 analysers are designed for use in dry gas streams where hydrogen is always present. The sensor can be safely exposed to hydrogen continuously. Model 5032 is intended for use in processes where hydrogen is occasionally or intermittently present, which may occur during leaks or upsets. The analysers are CE approved for general use.

H2scan's HY-OPTIMA 5030 series inline hydrogen process analyser with automatic calibration is ideal for stand-alone use or OEM integration into existing analysers. The sensors are used in gas streams where real-time measurements of hydrogen-specific measurements can improve process plant efficiency, improve yields, reduce maintenance costs and enable hydrogen economy.

Applications:

  • Refining - Catalytic reforming, Hydrogen desulphurisation, Black gas treatment units, Flare monitoring, Fuel gas
  • Natural gas - Wobbe index or calorific value, Mixing and injection points, Compressor stations
  • Hydrogen economy - Fuel cells and electrolysers
  • Petrochemical industry - Polymer feeds and flare gas process streams
  • Industrial gas supply and hydrogen production - Air separation, Steam methane reforming
