Option "I"
In accordance with Art. 9 of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (Ex ia/ib IIC), which includes requirements for insulation, flashover distance, creepage distances and enclosure type where a maximum peak voltage of 90 V or 3.3 A is allowed.

When a switch is ordered with a cable gland (option "C"), BETA will automatically install a blue Ex cable gland. Due to low current in intrinsically safe systems, we recommend using switches with gold-plated contacts, marked with the codes (code "G1," "O1" or "Y1").
