The differential pressure is measured by a differential pressure sensor between an upstream inlet in the wall of the cone meter and a downstream inlet in the cone. Inlet cones have a good flow conditioning effect, especially at low beta values. Larger cone meters are equipped with guide fins to improve flow conditioning and provide mechanical support to the cone.<\/p>\n<p>The advanced design makes the cone gauge compatible with a wider range of media and applications than conventional differential pressure gauges.
