Type M-CONE CT
The most common variant has an upstream pressure taken from a receptacle in the wall of the cone gauge, and the downstream pressure is taken from the downstream side of the cone and directed to a receptacle in the wall.
The EMCO cone meter is used for flow measurement of liquids, vapours and gases according to the differential pressure principle. The differential pressure is measured by a differential pressure sensor between an upstream inlet in the wall of the cone meter and a downstream inlet in the cone. Inlet cones have a good flow conditioning effect, especially at low beta values. Larger cone meters are equipped with guide fins to improve flow conditioning and provide mechanical support to the cone.
The advanced design makes the cone gauge compatible with a wider range of media and applications than conventional differential pressure gauges. EMCO Controls has specialised expertise in delivering cone gauge solutions for FPSO applications.
