Kemtrak backscatter probes are designed to provide accurate measurements of turbidity and suspended solids concentration in various process environments. With a dual fibre optic design, the probes ensure high resolution at low turbidity levels and excellent linearity up to extremely high turbidities when used in conjunction with the Kemtrak TC007 backscatter photometer. A unique advantage of these probes is their ability to continue to deliver reliable measurements even at high sample concentrations, where other probes often fail. The compact design makes them suitable for both laboratory use and industrial process installations.
Features & benefits
- Wide measurement range: From 0.0005% (10 NTU) up to 100% solids, allowing measurement over a wide range of concentrations.
- Real-time measurement: Provides instant monitoring of turbidity and suspended solids concentration directly in the process.
- Hygienic design: Available in two robust and hygienic designs: 1″/DN25 TriClamp and Ø12 mm PG13.5 (pH probe style), making them suitable for CIP processes.
- Suitable for hazardous areas: Designed to be used in environments with potential explosion hazards.
- Compact and versatile: The compact design makes the probes suitable for both laboratory use and industrial process installations.
Applications
- Crystallisation control: Monitoring of crystallisation processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Cell culture monitoring: Measurement of cell density and growth in bioreactors.
- Boundary layer detection: Identification of interfaces between different phases in process fluids.
- Concentration and solids measurement: Determination of the concentration of suspended solids in different processes.
- Product differentiation: Distinguish between different products based on their turbidity levels.
