DTSX200 Fibre optic temperature gauge

The DTSX200 from Yokogawa is a fibre optic distributed temperature meter that enables real-time monitoring of temperatures over long distances. It is particularly suited for applications in oil and gas extraction, LNG plants and refineries.

Yokogawas DTSX200 is an advanced distributed temperature measurement solution that uses fibre optic technology to measure temperatures along the entire length of the cable. This technology enables real-time monitoring of temperatures over long distances, making it ideal for applications that require continuous temperature monitoring and early detection of changes.

Measurement principle: The DTSX200 uses Raman scattering to measure temperatures. When a light pulse is sent through an optical fibre, the light is scattered by the molecules of the fibre cable and interacts with lattice vibrations. This interaction produces Stokes and anti-Stokes signals, the intensity ratio of which depends on the temperature at the specific point. By measuring these signals, the temperature can be determined along the entire fibre cable.
