Yokogawas DTSX200 is an advanced distributed temperature measurement solution that uses fibre optic technology to measure temperatures along the entire length of the cable. Measurement principle: The DTSX200 uses Raman scattering to measure temperatures. When a light pulse is sent through an optical fibre, the light is scattered by the molecules of the fibre cable and interacts with lattice vibrations. This interaction produces Stokes and anti-Stokes signals, the intensity ratio of which depends on the temperature at the specific point. By measuring these signals, the temperature can be determined along the entire fibre cable.
